Ahh Spring, that wonderful time of year for new beginnings!  This spring brings a new home for Hoopin and Groovin and New Classes!

Beginning in April, in addition to the Monday night drop in class, we will have a new 4-week beginner series and hoop mingles at the Farmer's Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays (be sure to check the calendar for dates and times the mingles may not be every week).

I'm looking forward to hooping with you this Spring! See you soon!

Hoopin and Groovin's new home for Indoor/Outdoor Hoop Classes!

Beginning March 11th our new home for classes will be at the Lakeside Farmer's Market 6110 Lakeside Ave.

Most of the the time classes will be indoors at the Lakeside Farmer's Market Too (the space you see with the roll up door). But, when it's nice outside, well then outdoors we go :)

Look for announcements of FREE Hoop Jams at the Saturday market beginning in April and as we get settled in, more classes may be added to the schedule. We are very excited to call Lakeside Farmer's Market home, and hope you are too!

This is a really fun leg hooping move! The tutorial is brought to you by Hoopsie Daisy and she does an excellent job of breaking it down. Have fun with this one and enjoy your practice! o♥

Happy New Year!  I've added two new pages to the website I hope you will find beneficial.  The first is a "Students only" page that will contain files and videos from class for your reference.  A password will be required to access this page.

The second is a Hoopin and Groovin Forum.  This page will be a place to share information, post questions and build community.

Please take a minute to check out the new pages/features and let me know what you think by posting in the forum or leaving a comment on this post :)

Happy Hooping!

It's amazing how this little piece of round plastic can change your life in so many amazing ways.

Taking just a moment to reflect on 2012, hooping has taken me out of my comfort zone (comfortably) many times, expanding my circle and experiences exponentially.  I have met so many wonderful and amazing people, hoopers and non-hoopers alike that I may have never met otherwise.  It's been said, a hooping practice is a journey, what a wonderful journey so far.

In classes, events, workshops, and park hoop jams the smiles kept coming, and I know they will continue to flourish in the coming year.  The joy, laughter, physical and mental benefits, of this circular piece of plastic, are the best kind of side effect.

I look forward to being a part of your hoop journey in 2013 and you in mine.
